BIO
Dominique Pride is a research assistant professor of economics at ACEP. Her research areas include energy and environmental economics and applied microeconomics. Her main research interests lie in energy cost burden, residential energy efficiency, and energy demand.
Pride earned her bachelor鈥檚 degree in economics from Marshall University. She received her master鈥檚 degree in resource and applied economics and doctoral degree in natural resources and sustainability, both from UAF. Her doctoral dissertation focused on the value of energy efficiency in AV狼论坛鈥檚 residential real estate markets.
Pride is leading several projects, including the pump monitoring apparatus (PuMA) fuel meter project, the Secure and Resilient Power Generation in Cold Environments, Phase 1 project, the Defense University Research Instrumentation Program project, the Displacing Wood Use with Electric Thermal Storage Heating to Improve Ambient Air Quality project, and the Reducing Fuel Oil Consumption in Rural Arctic Communities project. She is also working on the energy economics and policy task for the AV狼论坛 Regional Collaboration for Technology Innovation and Commercialization (ARCTIC) 1 project as well as the residential energy task and the energy data and metering task for the ARCTIC 2 project.
