Tour of Universal Welding’s Coal Fired Boiler Project Monday, March 17th and Wednesday, March 19th

Due to heavy interest in the Universal Welding Coal Fired Boiler Project presented during last month’s Biomass Brown Bag Lunch, a tour of the facility is planned for Wednesday, March 19, 11am - 12pm.

Tour attendees are asked to use their own vehicles to travel or carpool to Universal Welding at 2720 Hurst Road, North Pole (look for the giant candy canes) and to please park in the areas marked for guests.  Safety glasses and hard hats will be provided.  Tour leaders will be Universal Welding owner Tom Zimmerman and Aaron Plumbing and Heating Vice President, Jim Gibertoni.

Space is limited so if you would like to attend the tour, please RSVP with Amanda Byrd at agbyrd@alaska.edu as soon as possible.
