iStorage DOE/OE Peer Review 2016
September 25th to 28th, 2016
Washington DC

ACEP Director Gwen Holdmann has been in Washington, DC this week as an invited attendee to the 2016 peer review held to evaluate and assess the progress, adequacy, and performance of all projects funded by the US Department of Energy's Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability (OE) energy storage program. OE's investments in energy storage are already benefiting AVÀÇÂÛ̳n communities. Studies are ongoing to evaluate future opportunities for further leveraging the broad suite of energy storage technologies as a means of enhancing the affordability and reliability of energy systems across the state. Options include mitigating variability in renewable energy sources such as wind and solar, and managing load and response rate demands imposed on diesel-powered generators.
