The WGSS student club, SAGE, prepares for their Chalk the Walk event in September 2024.

The Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (WGSS) program at UAF invites the campus and broader community to its end-of-the-year celebration on Wednesday, April 23rd, 2025, from 1:00鈥2:30 pm in Gruening 503H and via Zoom.

This vibrant gathering honors our graduating WGSS minors and shines a spotlight on the outstanding contributions of WGSS faculty, students, and staff. The event will feature powerful student presentations, original poetry, refreshments, and space to connect and celebrate the dynamic work happening in the program.

Food and drinks will be provided! RSVPs are appreciated but not required. To RSVP or for more info, please contact Program Chair Carol Gray at cjgray5@alaska.edu.

The UAF Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies program empowers students to think critically about identity, power, and social justice. Through interdisciplinary courses and community-centered events, WGSS encourages meaningful engagement with real-world challenges while building strong skills in writing, analysis, and advocacy.
