Military, veteran honor cords
Active duty military, veterans and Gold Star Family graduates are invited to wear the veteran's honor cord with their regalia (cap and gown) at commencement. Students can pick up their cord at the Financial Aid Office or on the day of commencement at the Carlson Center.

Two UAF graduate students will discuss projects they conducted during the 2018 scientific diving spring break field excursion to Kasitsna Bay. Their presentation will be from 3:30-4:30 p.m. April 25.

Students, staff and faculty are invited to learn about Department of Navy Historically Black Colleges and Universities/Minority Institutions Programs on April 26. The visit is to expand awareness about naval research, internship and fellowship opportunities available to minority-serving institutions.

Medred to deliver Snedden lecture
AV̳ journalist Craig Medred will talk April 25 at 7 p.m. in the Murie Building auditorium. Medred spent almost 30 years as an outdoor editor and reporter for the Anchorage Daily News, the AV̳ Dispatch and AV̳ Dispatch News.
