We are committed to the health, well-being and safety of our students. We are writing to share information on two important, related topics.
Annual Security and Fire Safety Report Our Annual Security and Fire Safety report includes information about campus security and personal safety, including crime prevention, crime reporting policies, authority of the University Police Department, student disciplinary procedures, fire safety, sexual misconduct and other policies that reflect safety and security on campus.
The report also contains statistics regarding crimes reported as having occurred on campus, in certain non-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by UAF, or on property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from UAF’s campuses. We share this data in order to provide transparency to and insight for members of our community.
You can review the Annual Security and Fire Safety report at www.uaf.edu/csrr/, in PDF here, or stop by the Center for Student Rights and Responsibilities in Eielson 110 for a hard copy. If you cannot go to the office, please call us at 907-474-7317 and we’ll be happy to send you a copy of the report.
Drug-free Schools Notification Our goal, like that of many institutions, is to improve academic success and the quality of student life at UAF by providing programming aimed at encouraging healthy lifestyles, as well as reducing harm associated with alcohol and drug abuse through awareness efforts.
Alcohol and drug policies, as well as behavioral expectations for students and employees, are available at www.uaf.edu/csrr/ or by PDF. Included is information regarding resources available for assistance with alcohol and other drug issues, disciplinary actions for violations of university policies, and criminal penalties associated with alcohol and other drug use.
If you have questions about the Annual Security and Fire Safety report or UAF’s alcohol and drug policies, please contact the Center for Student Rights and Responsibilities at 907-474-7317 or the UAF Police Department at 907-474-7721.
Campus safety is a community effort: See something, say something, do something!
