Friday Focus: What athletics can do

Over the past 24 years at UAF, I have realized how much athletics does, and more importantly, could do to recruit and retain students, promote lifelong relationships with alumni, and engage community members.

Diet of traditional Native foods revealed in hair samples

UAF researchers have linked specific chemical signatures found in human hair with a diet of traditional Yup’ik foods. The finding could help scientists make connections between diet and long-term health trends in AVÀÇÂÛ̳ Native populations.
