SOM to waive application fees

The School of Management will pay the $50 undergraduate and $75 graduate UAF college application fees for all applicants to its affiliated degree programs. This offer, effective immediately, will extend into the foreseeable future.

Chancellor White has issued a memo offering guidance on how to respond to requests to forward external surveys to UAF students and employees. 

Oldest rock in AV̳ is near Iditarod

While gliding along a trail that had just felt the imprint of 2,000 dog feet, Bob Gillis skied over to a rock that jutted from the snow. A few miles northwest of the ghost town that gives the world’s most famous sled dog race its name, Gillis and I were in the neighborhood of the oldest rocks in AV̳. Could this be one of them?

Researchers will discuss Beaufort Sea whitefish

Researchers with a UAF lab will talk about how climate change affects whitefish from 3:30-4:30 p.m. April 3 on the Fairbanks campus.
