Last week, the university asked the State of AVÀÇÂÛ̳ for clarification regarding testing requirements for in-state travel. At this time, no additional information has been received but it is expected. If you are planning to travel anywhere this holiday week, either outside AVÀÇÂÛ̳ or within AVÀÇÂÛ̳, please check the community requirements as you may be required to take a COVID-19 test and quarantine. The with information about locations based on zip code.
|
If you travel outside AVÀÇÂÛ̳, you will be required to practice strict social distancing for a minimum of five days after you return. This means that students and employees cannot access university facilities, including going to class or your office. I encourage all faculty to work with students who may need additional course accommodations.

On-campus students in group housing may return but must contact Residence Life and stay in their living quarters. Please review the on the UAF COVID-19 website.

In , Chancellor White mentioned that UAF would be limiting most campus event requests and canceling some previously scheduled and approved events. This does not apply to planned in-person exams or other academic offerings, which have appropriate mitigation plans and safety measures. Students in our rural community campuses should reach out to their instructors for specific guidance on any changes regarding their classes or final exams.

Thank you to everyone for keeping our campus safe and have a restful and happy Thanksgiving weekend!
