Cornerstone Award nominations

The nomination period is now open for the 2020 Chancellor鈥檚 Cornerstone Award. Nominations will be accepted through March 20.

Victoria Smith named regional College Board fellow

Victoria Smith, director of Student Support Services, will attend the Native American Student Advocacy Institute in Phoenix in June.

eCampus hosts iTeach in Juneau

UAF eCampus is hosting an in-person iTeach workshop in Juneau on March 17-19. iTeach is a workshop on pedagogy, technology and distance learning.

Federal Resume Workshop

Learn how to build a career-ready federal resume with the Eielson Air Force Base Civilian Employment Office. The workshop takes place Feb. 11 from 1-2 p.m. in the BP Design Theater, ELIF 401.

UAF lecture on intersection of race, faith, sexuality

The Rev. Jamie Washington will give a public lecture on race, faith and sexuality at 6 p.m. Feb. 13 at the Wood Center ballroom.

Valentine's Day origami craft

Celebrate healthy hearts and healthy relationships. Learn to make an origami heart this Valentine's Day at Wood Center from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.

New 'repair cafe' to open

The Office of Sustainability will be opening a "repair cafe" on the bottom floor of Wood Center in Room 005, the "upcycle annex." A kickoff event will be held Feb. 20 at 4 p.m., with a focus on clothing repair.

PhD student wellness meeting

The next meeting is Feb. 21 at 9:30 a.m. in 334 Duckering. The topic will be on time management.

Banff Mountain Film Festival

Outdoor Adventures will host the annual screening of the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour on March 1 in the Davis Concert Hall.
