Bristol Bay Campus Students of the Month for April

The Bristol Bay Campus named two high schoolers as its Students of the Month for April. Nyssa Tallekpalek and Dion Pleasant are currently enrolled in the Home Energy Basics class.

BLaST Scientist of the Month: Todd Brinkman

Todd Brinkman has been named the BLaST Scientist of the Month for April 2021. Brinkman is a UAF faculty mentor from the Department of Biology and Wildlife.

White-winged crossbills and yellow snow

While out on a springtime snow trail, I recently saw a dozen white-winged crossbills pecking at snow on the side of the trail. When I reached the spot, I saw a yellow stain from where a team of dogs had paused.
