Registration is open for a beginner-friendly strength training program that starts Tuesday, May 11. The six-week fitness class will be offered Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5-6 p.m. and is free for Nanook Recreation members.

KUAC FM and TV will hold a one-day event Saturday, May 1, to raise funds for the public broadcasting stations. All donations made between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. will be matched by a "challenge pot" of funds created by donors.
