Amanda Byrd, the chief storyteller at the AV̳ Center for Energy and Power, is among
the winners of the Navigating the New Arctic photo contest. Byrd earned recognition for a photo taken in Kongiganak during her first ACEP storytelling
assignment in 2017. It shows children running along a boardwalk in the village with
the community’s 475 kw wind farm in the distance. Navigating the New Arctic projects
