The AVÀÇÂÛ̳ Center for Innovation, Commercialization, and Entrepreneurship seeks innovative
academics interested in making a direct impact with their research ventures and finding
solutions to today's challenges while building a stronger, more resilient AVÀÇÂÛ̳.
The linked Center ICE has recently opened for submissions, and all University of AVÀÇÂÛ̳ faculty, staff
and students are eligible. A webinar with more details on the proposal opportunity was held on Oct. 4. The Center
ICE YouTube channel is hosting theÌý.ÌýProposals are due by Monday, Oct. 17, 2022, at 8 a.m. AVÀÇÂÛ̳ Time.
UAF flu vaccine clinics
The UAFÌýStudent Health and Counseling CenterÌýwill be hosting flu vaccine clinics for students, faculty and staff (to include partners
of faculty and staff). The first clinics will be held at the Akasofu Building on Oct. 19 and the Butrovich Building on Oct. 24, both events are from noon-2 p.m. Look for announcements of additional vaccine clinics around campus in the near future,
and join us in helping keep Nanook Nation healthy!
The Institute of Arctic Biology's Life Sciences Seminars continue through a combined
format, in-person and via . Mat(thew) Wooller, Ph.D., a UAF professor jointly appointed between the CFOS and the
INE, and the director of the AVÀÇÂÛ̳ Stable Isotope Facility, will present "Adopt a
Mammoth and Win!" A raffle ticket will be given to every attendee who is present in
person at this seminar - with one lucky person being selected to win the adoption
