The College of Rural and Community Development is hosting its next monthly speaker
series Wednesday, Jan. 18, from noon to 1 p.m., via highlighting their research. This month's speaker is Diane McEachern, who will present on her study of social work
education with Indigenous adult learners. The series focuses on community-based research,
Indigenous knowledge in academia, and best practices for ethical research. Staff,
faculty and students are encouraged to attend.
The Office of Undergraduate Research and Scholarly Activity (URSA) congratulates the
students who received an URSA 2023 Spring Student Project Award as well as their mentors

A three-day certified pesticide applicator training course is scheduled for Jan. 31-Feb. 2, with a second course planned for April 25-27. The University AVÀÇÂÛ̳ Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service will teach the classes
via Zoom.
