Take a LEAP into student success

The UAF Center for Teaching and Learning is seeking faculty and student applicants to participate in the Learner Experience Advocacy Program for the 2024 fall semester. Instructors who complete the program have the opportunity to receive a $1,000 stipend, and students get a $1,500 scholarship. If you know of a current UAF student who would be a good fit for LEAP, please recommend the program to them!


As part of ongoing efforts to improve service, Facilities Services is soliciting feedback regarding work order process, work performance, and general satisfaction with services. The goal is to deliver timely, quality, and cost-effective services. Your answers would be valuable in helping to improve the department's response to your needs. The survey should not take longer than ten minutes to complete, and your responses can make a world of difference as they look to improve. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts.

$20K Summer Seed Funding through Center ICE

Center ICE’s Summer Seed Funding opportunity is open for submissions. We’re looking for entrepreneurial researchers interested in expanding their interests and projects to scale toward solving applied and innovative problems. This call for the Center ICE seed fund is to support up to three awards, each up to $20,000, for research projects focused on building impactful solutions. Food Trucks are back!

This summer T's BBQ is kicking off the season on campus. Caleb will be here with his smokers ready to serve some great BBQ on Wednesday May 15th. Look for him in campus core, just follow your nose. Kuskokwim Campus celebrates 50th commencement ceremony

AVÀÇÂÛ̳ Kuskokwim Campus honored the Class of 2024 during its 50th commencement ceremony on Tuesday, May 7, at the Yupiit Piciryarait Cultural Center in Bethel. Learn more on this historic milestone for the campus and its graduates.


Annual Building and Window Washing Reschedule

The annual building and window washing for Akasofu, Elvey, WRRB, O’Neill, Irving 1 and 2, Murie and Arctic Health has been rescheduled for July this year (schedule to be determined). Webinar: Native Plant Gardens of AVÀÇÂÛ̳

The AVÀÇÂÛ̳ Native Plant Society is partnering with the UAF Cooperative Extension Service to host a discussing how to grow native plants in your garden. This is your chance to learn from the caretakers of several public native plant gardens in Southcentral AVÀÇÂÛ̳. Our speakers will introduce you to some of the native plants in their gardens, share what they’ve learned, and take your questions. Learn more and register.
