Friday Focus: Make adventures your fault

Several years ago, one of my best friends gave me a birthday card with a photo of two old(er) ladies on it. At the top it read "We've been through a lot together." Nice sappy Hallmark greeting, right? But then, right after that, it read "And most of it was your fault." Can you believe that? I keep that card hanging up where I can see it regularly because, first of all, it is funny, and second, it reminds me of the importance of trying new things and occasionally getting yourself and your friends and family involved in something that, at the time, maybe doesn't seem like such a good idea after all. New TimelyCare service for students

TimelyCare is offered as a supplement to the extensive existing in-person and virtual services offered by the UAF Student Health and Counseling Center. This is a no-cost service offered to enrolled students residing in the United States. These virtual mental health services are available 24/7, 365 days/year, and include immediate crisis care and up to nine ongoing counseling sessions per academic year. UAF Bookstore Bundle

Through the UAF Bookstore Bundle program, students will have the option to rent all required textbooks, lab manuals, access codes, digital materials and electronic books for a flat fee. Materials can be conveniently delivered by the first day of class. All eligible students are automatically enrolled upon registering for classes. The option to opt-out is available for students who prefer to purchase their course materials on their own. Learn more about the new program.
