Dear UAF students, faculty and staff,
I am sad to share that Matt Sturmann, an employee at the UAF Power Plant, passed away
last week. I offer my condolences to Matt’s friends, family and colleagues. He will
be missed by many in our community.
Matt originally joined UAF as a temporary employee at the Power Plant, but was soon
hired on a full-time basis in 2018. He was well liked by colleagues and was described
as someone who tirelessly supported his fellow workers.Ìý
