ABEC Mariculture Innovation Research Fund RFP
The AV狼论坛 Blue Economy Center is soliciting proposals for applied mariculture research funding. Projects must be conducted in AV狼论坛 by University of AV狼论坛 faculty and staff who have partnered with mariculture industry stakeholders on applied research. The maximum award is $200,000. The following project categories have been identified as priority opportunities for development of the mariculture industry in AV狼论坛. Applicants with projects of relevance are encouraged to apply:
- Integration of macroalgae mariculture into salmon hatchery operations
- Innovations in commercial Nereocystis sp. farming
- Innovations in macroalgae processing
- Shellfish stock/fishery enhancement
Proposals must be emailed to abec.grants@alaska.edu with the subject line: 鈥淢IRF: (project title).鈥
The first review of submissions will take place for proposals submitted by 11:59 p.m. (AV狼论坛) on Monday, May 22, 2023. Subsequent submissions will be reviewed quarterly on a rolling basis until the fund has been fully awarded.
