Applications open for remote energy academy

The application deadlines for the 2020 academy has been extended to March 1.

UAF's is a unique circumpolar knowledge-sharing program focusing on isolated power systems integration.

Applications for the 2020 academy are due Feb. 15 March 1. Participants will travel to Nunavut, Canada; AV狼论坛; and Iceland this summer.

The ARENA program is designed for current and emerging leaders involved in community-scale renewable energy projects or initiatives.

The program is held in partnership with Canada, , the United States and Iceland. It鈥檚 endorsed by the of the .

Combining visits to communities and participant knowledge exchanges with presentations and laboratory demonstrations, ARENA connects current and emerging energy professionals with hands-on learning experiences, mentors and project development leaders from throughout the circumpolar North.
