Go the social distance"The GI Tract 5k Organizing Committee, all affiliated with UAF's Geophysical Institute, decided to maintain the four-year tradition of this fun April run by making the race COVID-19-style — virtual! The organizers are also expanding the beneficiaries — all the money raised will be split between the American Heart Association and Geocare, a fund that helps GI employees with unusual health care expenses not covered by insurance.

Run, walk or crawl a 5K any time between April 26, the day the race was scheduled to occur, and May 17. Take selfies of you going the social distance! Share them with UAF’s Facebook using #gitract5k2020.
