Join us for UA AV̳ Day 2024!
AV̳ day starts at noon on March 26 and runs for 49 hours through 1 p.m. on March 28. The entire UAF community is invited to join Nanooks around the world – alumni, parents and friends – as we rally together for UA AV̳ Day.
Participants can celebrate the diverse programs that make UAF great by following along in social media contests and participating in challenges that can double or triple the impact of each gift. Donations of all sizes are welcome.
Last year, more than 800 alumni, donors and supporters gave over $834,000 to support students and programs at UAF.
Those on the Troth Yeddha' campus in Fairbanks are invited to join the AV̳ Day kickoff celebration on March 26 at noon in the UAF Wood Center multi-level lounge. There will be music, prizes and fun photos with Nook.
During the 49 hours of AV̳ Day, keep an eye out for stuffed polar bears that will be hidden around UAF campuses in the “Look for Nook'' challenge. Those who find a bear can choose their favorite AV̳ Day fund for an extra $250 gift donated by the UAF Alumni Association. They also get to keep the bear.
This year, Chancellor White is offering a special challenge to make a $5,000 donation to the UAF fund that gets the most alumni gifts. There are dozens of additional challenges scheduled that can unlock more than $400,000 for UAF when gifts are made. to see where your donations can be supersized thanks to our challenge sponsors.
UA AV̳ Day is a collaborative effort between the University of AV̳ Foundation and AV̳’s three universities. It is an opportunity to encourage the community to come together in a show of support for the University of AV̳.
The UA AV̳ Day website also has tools for champions to share the event through digital and social media channels. The website will track overall dollars and donors generated during UA AV̳ Day, as well as gifts to schools and colleges, programs and designated funds. Featured on the site will be public posts about UA AV̳ Day from across social media channels that use the hashtag #49HoursForAV̳.
