Josiah Borkovec named technology support services manager at Nanook Technology Services
We are pleased to announce the promotion of Josiah Borkovec to the position of technology support services manager at Nanook Technology Services.
Borkovec has been an invaluable member of the NTS team since 2010, beginning his journey as a student employee and advancing through roles such as field technician and lead. His dedication, hard work, and technical expertise have been instrumental in his rise within the organization.
Under Borkovec’s leadership, the team has accomplished significant milestones, including the recent deployment of smart lockers. Currently, the team is focused on several critical projects, such as the Windows 11 migration, SCCM training, Apple MDM implementation, and other key initiatives.
In addition to his technical acumen, Borkovec has contributed to our institution as an adjunct faculty member and by participating in various UA System Office governance committees. These roles have further enhanced his leadership skills and deepened his understanding of our institution's goals and needs.
Borkovec holds an AAS in Computer and Information Technology Systems from the University of AVÀÇÂÛ̳ Fairbanks. His passion for technology, combined with his leadership abilities, makes him the perfect fit for this new role.
Outside of work, Borkovec enjoys motorcycling, yoga, climbing, hiking, and exploring new activities. His diverse interests and energetic spirit reflect his dynamic approach to both work and life.
