Learn to strength train in 2023 with Nanook Recreation
Nanook Recreation offers a variety of strength training group fitness classes that are free with membership.
Currently, offerings include intro to strength training a beginner-friendly class that goes over the basics of strength training machines, functional exercises, and free weights.
Intermediate strength training and intro to Olympic lifting are designed for those with some free weights experience you should be able to complete a squat with a barbell to top of the thigh parallel before taking either of these classes.
All classes are six weeks in length and meet twice a week, progressing in complexity and intensity.
