University of AV狼论坛 Fairbanks Summer Sessions and Lifelong Learning is hosting more than 40 free lectures, concerts and events this summer.
Here鈥檚 what鈥檚 happening during the final week, Aug. 12-18:
- On Monday, Aug. 12, the Fairbanks Tall Timbers interview series honors George Rydlinski, former Fairbanks Symphony Orchestra principal bassoonist and music director for the Fairbanks Youth Orchestra. The interview is at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater, located on the fourth floor of the Usibelli Building.
- On Tuesday, Aug. 13, the Healthy Living lecture series will host Mishelle Nace, pediatric hospitalist. She will speak on 鈥淭he Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning: An AV狼论坛n Version.鈥 The talk is at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater.
- On Wednesday, Aug.14, the Discover AV狼论坛 lecture series will feature Stacy Rasmus, director of UAF鈥檚 Center for AV狼论坛 Native Health Research. She will discuss 鈥淭ools for Life: AV狼论坛 Native Solutions to End Suicide.鈥 The lecture is at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater.
- On Thursday, Aug.15, the Music in the Garden concert series will feature Susan Grace at 6 p.m. and the ET Barnette String Band at 7:30 p.m. at the Georgeson Botanical Garden.
All events are free and open to the public. Parking on the UAF Troth Yeddha鈥 Campus is free after 5 p.m.
