Workshop focuses on farming, water and drought in AV狼论坛

The impact of drought on agriculture is the topic of two free workshops offered through the National Drought Mitigation Center, UAF Cooperative Extension Service and the U.S. Department of Agriculture Northwest Climate Hub.

"Sharing Knowledge on Farming, Water and Drought in AV狼论坛" will discuss topics such as AV狼论坛 climate trends; the U.S. Drought Monitor and the drought designation process; agricultural impacts of drought; decision-making during a drought; and resources for adaptation. The workshops are intended for producers, gardeners and technical staff from organizations such as Cooperative Extension, the USDA Farm Service Agency, and local and tribal conservation districts.

The workshops will be held in person from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, in Delta Junction (location to be determined) and Wednesday, Nov. 16, at the Matanuska Experiment Farm and Extension Center in Palmer. The Palmer workshop also will have a remote option. Lunch will be provided at the in-person sessions to those registering by Nov. 7.
