Annual security and fire report
AV̳ (UAF) Annual Fire, Safety and Security Report is published in compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (“Clery Act”) and Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). This report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by UAF and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from university property. The report also includes institutional policies on campus security policies concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes and other matters.
The full text of this report is available online at UAF Annual Security Report.This report is prepared in cooperation with local law enforcement agencies, the UAF Police Department (UAFPD) and various campus departments. These entities provide updated information on their educational efforts and programs to comply with the Clery Act. Campus crime, arrest and referral statistics include those reported to the UAFPD, designated campus security officials as defined under the Clery Act and local law enforcement agencies. Each year, notification is sent to all enrolled students, faculty and staff. The notification provides information on how to access the Annual Security Report online. Copies of this report may also be obtained at the Office of Rights, Compliance and Accountability.
The policies in the report apply to all locations of UAF, which include: Fairbanks, Interior AV̳, Bristol Bay, Chukchi, Community and Technical College, Fort Yukon, Seward, Tok, Toolik, Kuskokwim, and Northwest. The crime statistics in this report are presented in separate crime statistics charts for each campus, as required by law. Where appropriate, information unique to a particular campuses is also included. UA Board of Regents Policies and University Regulations are applicable to all campuses. The information in this report may be updated throughout the year.
