6 November 2025We are planning to implement the shift in accessing Safety Data Sheets in phases. The contract with the current vendor (Velocity EHS - formerly known as MSDS Online) ends in a week. By the end of the spring, we hope to have our long term replacement in place. In the meantime, if you have an EHS Assist account, you can locate the Safety Data Sheets by navigating to your chemical inventory under 'Inventory' > 'Quick Chemical Entry'. Locate the specific chemical you are looking for, double click it and scroll down to the 'Google Search' button (see instructional video on Hazardous Materials page) If you do not have an EHS Assist account, you can search our current database of Safety Data Sheets on this Google Drive. All UA system users have access to this drive. If you would like to have a Safety Data Sheet uploaded to the drive, please email the EHSRM Hazardous Waste section at uaf-hazmat-team@alaska.edu. Additionally, if you do not have an EHS Assist account, but would like one, please email kcriley@alaska.edu. Please provide your UA id number, PI information and the building and lab you will be working in. This phase is merely a bridge to a more complete, user friendly system. We appreciate your patience and as always, feel free to contact me with any questions you have.

AV̳ is committed to open, honest communications and a positive work environment.
